You don’t have to go to the North End for some great Italian dinner! We highly recommend making a reservation. Fried Calamari, Butternut Squash Ravioli, and Frutti Di Mare are the most popular dishes. The Boston Globe aptly describes Giacomo's as a place "where the conversation flows with the wine." Whether you're looking for a cozy spot for date night or a bustling venue for family gatherings, Giacomo's in Melrose is the place to be.
Ming’s Seafood Restaurant is our favorite dim sum place near our Boston area vacation rentals. They offer classic and dim sum dishes such as Pork & Shrimp Dumplings “Siu Mai” and Pan Fried Radish Cake. If you go there for dinner, please try the Salt and Pepper Pork Chop, which is Glendon’s favorite! For dim sum, show up before 10:30am on the weekend, or expect to wait :)
Craving for some pho or spring rolls? Pho Bistro is conveniently located in Malden Center and the service is quick. We never had to wait, even on the weekends.
With a stellar 4.4-star rating on Yelp, it's evident that Mystic Station has mastered the art of modern American food. Their menu is a testament to this, featuring crowd favorites like the spicy Buffalo Chicken, succulent Steak Tips, and the mouthwatering Pulled Pork Sandwich. But it's not just about the food. The ambiance is equally captivating, with a lively cocktail bar that promises a good time. And when the sun's out, their patio is the perfect spot to enjoy some sunshine and sipping. Crying Thaiger is one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. We often get their Pad See Ew with fried chicken and Penang Curry with Short Ribs. They also offer vegetarian and vegan options including vegan duck!
Have you had Nepalese cuisine before? This hole-in-the-wall restaurant has the best momos (similar to Chinese dumplings) and goat curry near our vacation rentals.
Oliveira's in Everett is one of the best and affordable Brazilian steakhouse in the area. There are two options: all you can eat or by weight. Unless you can eat more than a couple pounds of meat, we would recommend going for the second option.
Red 8 is Encore Boston Harbor’s signature Asian restaurant for casual and celebratory dining experiences. We recommend their Peking Duck, Beef Chow Fun, Sauteed Pee Leaves and more.
Rare Steakhouse has been recognized by Forbes Travel Guide as one of the top steakhouses in Boston. The menu is a testament to its commitment to quality, featuring exclusive Japanese cuts from Kobe and Kagoshima, American wagyu, and steaks aged in a custom-built dry aging cabinet. But it's not just about the steaks; the restaurant also offers a curated 700-label wine list, focusing on renowned winemakers from California and France. We love their tomahawk steak, and we specifically request bone-in.
